Galaxy Tab A9 Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is built for high performance and productivity. Inspire new possibilities with a design that is as striking as powerful. Galaxy Tab A9 has a refreshed rear design and a side button/speaker placement.

It measures 211 x 124.7 x 8 mm and weighs 333g. The tablet, designed to inspire, has an aluminum body, frame, and a glass front. The size, thickness and weight make it comfortable to hold up when making presentations, reading e-books and articles, or even sharing moments with family as you unwind at home.

IP68 Rating

As one of the market’s only IP68 water- and dust-resistant tablets, Tab A9 confidently goes where most simply cannot. For extra peace of mind, Armor Aluminum protects against the bumps along the way.

Display

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 now features a TFT LCD screen. Get lost in games and shows with intense colours, contrast and smooth refresh rates up to 60Hz.

Specifically, the display features:

8.7-inch TFT screen
800 x 1340 pixels, 5:3 ratio (~179 ppi density)
60Hz refresh rate.

Get an ultra-amazing viewing experience from anywhere. Vision Booster automatically adjusts brightness and contrast so you see every vibrant detail — even in sunlight.

You will have a bright moment as you focus on work (graphics or reading a report) and entertainment (gaming, video streaming, watching YouTube documentaries).

Camera

The camera package on the Galaxy tablet is decent enough for intent functionalities. At 2MP, the front-facing camera is not the best for taking selfies but would be instrumental for conference video calls and video chatting.

Installed at the handset’s rear is an 8 MP AF primary camera that records 1080p videos. It could be better, but considering this is a tablet, it is decent enough to get work done.

Performance and Processing Power

Operating System

Enjoy the user-friendly interface provided by Samsung’s One UI 5.1. Android 13 OS has many features, applications and software that help you maximize productivity and efficient use of your time as you delve deep into the possibilities Galaxy Tab A9 offers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Depending on your tasks, preference and budget, you can choose either of the two Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 variants to suit your needs. Galaxy Tab A9 with 128GB and 8GB RAM specifications could be a better option, considering it offers more RAM and ROM, which translates to better task performance.

Whether working with videos, photos or large creative projects, let your creativity stretch with up to 1TB of internal storage. Add up to 1TB of external storage with a slot for a MicroSD card.

Connectivity and Communication Capabilities of Galaxy Tab A9

The tab supports GSM connectivity. It has slots for Nano SIM, besides supporting eSIM connectivity. The network technology (GSM / HSPA / LTE) supports 2G, 3G and 4G bands, with a commendable HSPA, LTE network speed. Although less fast and efficient than 5G, 4G is good and decent.

Bluetooth: yes, supported
USB: USB Type-C 2.0
